Phuket to Krabi ferries: choose the pier and sailing
Match both pier names to your accommodation before buying a ticket. Krabi Town, Ao Nang and Railay need different onward journeys.
Match the sailing to your Krabi destination
| Place or route | What to check |
|---|---|
| Phuket | Check whether the ticket names Rassada or another pickup point. A hotel pickup can be separate from the boat departure. |
| Krabi Town | Check for Klong Jilad and the onward town transfer. |
| Ao Nang or Railay | Use the precise arrival pier on the ticket; these are not interchangeable with Krabi Town. |
Before paying and again before departure
- Search your travel date with the carrier and confirm both pier names.
- Read that sailing’s check-in deadline, luggage rules, transfer inclusions and cancellation terms.
- Allow time between separately booked legs; a timetable is not a protected connection.
- Check the marine forecast and the carrier’s operating notice again before leaving for the pier.
If the sailing or sea conditions do not fit, use a road transfer between Phuket and mainland Krabi. Railay still requires a boat for the final approach; a road transfer cannot complete that leg.
See island-transfer booking and cancellation guidance for the shared checklist.
Include the final transfer
Rassada is on Phuket’s southeast side. Klong Jilad is near Krabi Town; neither is the same as the main resort beach. Include the trip from your hotel to the pier and from the arrival point to the next room.
