Don Mueang Airport taxi pickup and alternatives
For the public taxi, go to Terminal 1’s first-floor Gate 8 or Terminal 2’s first-floor area next to Gate 15. App rides use their own pickup instructions.
Find the queue for your terminal
| Arrival terminal | Taxi counter |
|---|---|
| Terminal 1 | First floor, Gate 8 |
| Terminal 2 | First floor, next to Gate 15 |
AOT lists a 50-baht airport taxi charge in addition to the fare; passengers also pay applicable tolls. Baggage charges may apply, so ask before loading. App pickup instructions are separate from the public-taxi counter—use the terminal and pickup point shown by the app.

The Red Line serves Don Mueang, but the station walk, service hours and onward connection matter as much as the rail fare. A direct taxi can be simpler with heavy luggage; rail can avoid part of the road journey. Airport buses are another option when their destination and operating hours fit your trip.
Before the taxi leaves
Confirm the fare method, tolls and any baggage charge. Keep the airport ticket or app record until the journey is complete. The Bangkok fare guide explains the published meter bands; the complaint guide explains how to report a problem.
Don Mueang is north of central Bangkok. Suvarnabhumi is a different airport with different rail and pickup arrangements. Check which airport appears on your next ticket.
